Step into calm and comfort at Shag Bark 21 — where cozy meets modern and your getaway begins the moment you walk in. In 2025, the home received thoughtful upgrades: a brand new leather couch, updated TVs, lighting, mattresses, linens, and kitchen appliances. Every bedroom is now equipped with convenient USB charging ports.
This welcoming home is perfect for relaxing with family or friends. Sip coffee on the deck in the morning sun or unwind with a cold drink in hand after a day of outdoor fun. The peaceful surroundings and two porches make it easy to just sit for a while.
Upstairs, the open reverse floor plan includes a bright living space with vaulted cedar ceilings, comfy seating, Smart TV, and a gorgeous stone fireplace. Step outside through the sliding glass doors to take in the quiet, wooded setting.
The open-concept kitchen and dining area are perfect for shared meals, with a fully stocked kitchen, spices, coffee station, and plenty of seating.
The primary bedroom is upstairs with a king bed, en suite bath, and walk-in shower. Downstairs, you’ll find three more bedrooms: a second king, a queen, and a kid-friendly pyramid bunk room. A shared full bath with tub/shower combo is also on this level.
With a private hot tub, full-size washer/dryer, and quiet North End location near BLM access trails and SHARC, this home is everything you need to unplug, reconnect, and recharge.
Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are available for guest use in the home.

A relaxing place to enjoy

Located on a quiet street with a mix of year round residents and vacation renters with easy access to the highway. The street ends in a cul-da-sac which is perfect for an after dinner walk or biking with young ones. Sunriver is a walking paradise of paved trails and Shagbark 21 is an easy walk to the North market, Cardinal Bridge, or a 2 1/2 mile walk/ bike ride to the Village. The amazing Benton Falls is also just a quick bike/drive/walk away. Owners have given priority to cleanliness, comfort, decor, and a well stocked kitchen. A relaxing place to enjoy.

Another great long weekend at Shagbark 21.😀 We filled the house with family, played games and ate on the fabulous dinning table . The house is a great base for visiting central Oregon, Bend, Mt Bachelor and the Sunriver Village. I'd like to add cooking is easy with the well stocked kitchen. Everything was wonderful and love the updates. We'll be back!

my family and I spent the new years visiting Sunriver and mt. bachelor. the house was a great location and perfect size for what we needed. the master bedrooms were large and it felt very homey. my mom loves to cook so there were a few things missing in the kitchen like matching lids to the pots and the dishwasher soap dispenser lid was broken but overall it fit our needs. I enjoyed how much information was available via text and on their website which helped answer a lot of my questions.

Shagbark 21 was the perfect house for our family get-together! Four generous bedrooms, two baths and extra sinks, a well-stocked kitchen, and a well-used hot tub. The decks were heavenly for early morning coffee and sitting out in the evening breeze. Everything was bright and clean. Loved the reclining chair and the chance to shoot the breeze with cousins in the comfortable living room. Laundry was easy and convenient. We had one very well-behaved pup with us and appreciated that pets were allowed. Would love to stay here again, and definitely recommend it to others.

This was a great property for our trip! Lots of open space with both a front and back deck. The hot tub was private (even though it was in the front of the house). The bike path was right next to the house and being able to use the bikes in the garage was a great adventure. The company managing the property, Bennington, is super repsonsive and thoughtful, even leaving us a little meaningful surprise in the house when we arrived.

We have stayed at this home at least 3 times. We love that when we arrive it looks and feels clean and welcoming. It's convenient to Bend, Mt Bachelor and everything Sunriver. Shagbark provides all the comfort of home and more with that Central Oregon flair. We love the island kitchen and huge dinning room table in the open family room with the fireplace. We have gone for family play and used as great remote work place for just the two of us. We'll be back. Thanks for everything.
