Etsu, Professional Housekeeper
Etsu Toyota started working with Bennington Properties as a housekeeper in July 2013. She enjoys the challenging aspects and the physical nature of helping to maintain the properties for the guests.
Etsu grew up in a small town in Japan. There, she learned to appreciate nature’s flora and fauna. Then, Etsu became a long time resident of Seattle, Washington. She, along with her boyfriend, moved to Bend in 2005. They both enjoy living in Central Oregon and the many adventure opportunities.
Like many Bend transplants, Etsu moved to Central Oregon for the outdoor activities. For her, it’s difficult to choose a favorite season, as she enjoys both snow sports and summertime activities. Winter finds Etsu and her boyfriend snowboarding on Mount Bachelor, while summer sees them wake boarding and hiking.
Etsu’s Summer and Winter Fun
1. A Day at the Lake - Head down to Cultus Lake for a fun summer’s day. Spend the day boating, wake boarding, or simply hanging out on the shore.
2. A Day on the Trail - Central Oregon has an endless amount of trails for interested hikers to explore. Try the Green Lakes Trail for the quintessential Cascades experience, or Bend’s River Trail for some waterfall views.
3. A Day on the Mountain - There’s a reason people flock to Mount Bachelor during the winter. The 360 degree mountain ensures there are ski runs for everyone, beginner to advanced. 2016-2017 season saw the opening of a new high speed chairlift, Cloudchaser.
