Fall Festivities in Sunriver

Pumpkin patches. Falling leaves. Warm apple cider. Crisp autumn temps. It’s beginning to feel a lot like October here in Sunriver! One of the most beautiful times of the year in Central Oregon. And while some might argue that the fall season is the Sunriver “off season”… it doesn’t have to be! Make it a fall family tradition! There are many seasonal activities, events and festivities happening here this month, and we hope you will join us! We’ve compiled a list of local favorites to do during your October stay in Sunriver.

Smith Rock Ranch : Make incredible fall family memories at Smith Rock Ranch Pumpkin, a quick 60 minute drive from Sunriver! Known throughout Central Oregon for their iconic and acclaimed “themed” corn maze, the ranch also features a pumpkin patch, face painting, petting zoo, harvest market, and “barnyard golf.”

DD Ranch: Create a new, annual family tradition at the DD Ranch’s month-long pumpkin patch happening every October! At DD, they’re all about helping families make fun, memorable experiences that will be shared and treasured for a lifetime. 

Colorful Hike: Enjoy the stunning autumn leaves throughout Sunriver as well as the Cascade Mountains. The unique region blends brilliant aspen and varieties of maple among the ponderosa pines, creating a beautiful sight that only lasts for a few short weeks. Autumn Picnic: Take a walk, explore the area, and find the perfect spot for a crisp autumn picnic in Sunriver! Both Dillon Falls Day Use Area as well as La Pine State Park are wonderful spots to enjoy the beautiful fall weather in Central Oregon.
