Hunter Noack performs live outdoors on a nine-foot Steinway as he presents IN A LANDSCAPE: Classical Music in the Wild, an outdoor classical music concert series.
Hunter grew up in Sunriver. When he was a child, Hunter’s mother Lori Noack managed the Sunriver Music Festival. He was inspired by the pianists that arrived at the festival every year.
To meet the acoustical challenges of performing in the wild, music is transmitted via wireless headphones. No longer confined to seats, you can explore the landscape and beauty around you.

If you are looking to be in the heart of the action, staying in the SHARC area will be your go-to spot in Sunriver! A favorite for young families, the SHARC is an amazing facility offering a multitude of activities: outdoor pools; indoor pools; lazy river; water slides; social hot tub; tot splash & play areas; event space/ amphitheatre; cafe; park; picnic areas; playground; bocce ball; basketball and a year-round tubing hill. With the shops and restaurants at the Village on one side and a great playground, tennis courts and ball fields at Fort Rock Park on the other, guests staying in the central SHARC area enjoy being able to walk to all!
The Village at Sunriver offers something for everyone. Coffee and pastries, craft beer, great restaurants, boutique shopping, fine art gallery, outdoor recreation and rentals, family entertainment and events - all can be found just steps away from your Sunriver vacation rental when you stay in this area. Most homes and condos in this area are 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, making it perfect for a couple's retreat or small family getaway. From summer mini-golf to winter ice skating, the Sage Spring Spa, Sunriver Lodge and pools at SHARC, there is fun to enjoy year-round all within a one-mile radius of the Village.
Located in the heart of Sunriver between Circles 4 and 11, the Fort Rock area is perfect for groups of all ages - the kids can walk to Fort Rock Park, and you are also just a short run, walk or bike ride to the SHARC, Nature Center, Deschutes River trails and Village at Sunriver. Sunriver's fabulous Fort Rock Park features a large grassy field, pavilion shelter, and a playground with new and updated equipment, along with several picnic tables located around the park itself. This amazing park offers basketball and tennis courts, softball and volleyball facilities as well as horseshoes, ensuring each member of your group will find something to enjoy. A large inventory of homes and the accessibility to activities, make this area a big win for family reunions.
Known for its walkability, staying in the south end of Sunriver means you will be in the heart of the action. Bordered by the Deschutes River, Sunriver Lodge and The Village, this area offers something for everyone. You will find restaurants, shopping and the main grocery store conveniently located nearby, while miles of bike paths and the green links of the award-winning Meadows Golf Course wind through the quiet, tree-lined streets, making it easy to escape the crowds. Be sure to check out Harper's Bridge - a popular swimming spot for families along the river - with a bike path running alongside. A fitness center, sauna, and steam rooms can be found in this area at Sage Spring Spa. The best part? Guests in a Bennington home receive complimentary access! Located off the main entrance to Sunriver and near the conference and event centers at the Great Hall, accessibility is key in Sunriver's southern end.
Enjoy the peaceful Central Oregon outdoors! Away from the crowds and noise you can relax and enjoy the beauty all around. Take a bike ride or hike on the paved pathways that are all around Sunriver. If your up for more adventure you are close to Circle 7 and a variety of hiking options that will take you to the trails at Beneham Falls, either family friendly or more extreme for the adventurous. It's also the location for exiting the Deschutes River for those floating, kayaking, in a canoe or stand up paddle boarding to exit the river. And not to be left out is the 5.5 mile Sun-Lava paved trail to Lava Lands Visitor Center, opened in 2014 by the Forest Service. Other services include a market, gas station, woodlands golf course and restaurant (summer only), and Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Enjoy the quite beauty and surroundings of the Deschutes River as it flows by. Take a bide ride or hike on the paved pathways that follow along the river in several areas. Journey over to Cardinal Landing foot bridge and cast a line to catch your dinner! Watch for the Interpretive Trail Sign, off of Circle 6 letting you know you've entered The Riparian Zone (river bank in Latin). View a large variety of flora and fauna, and vistas of the Cascade Mountain Range to the west. Do you enjoy bird watching or photography? You'll be pleased with the surroundings giving you countless opportunities to enjoy both.
You will love, love, love this location, near everything but away from it all...located in the quieter center of Sunriver but within walking distance to Fort Rock Park and the SHARC for those little feet. The Woodlands course itself features dense forests of Ponderosa and Lodgepole Pine, outcroppings of lava rock and an abundance of water. Noted by golfers for superb conditioning and its beautiful setting, the Woodlands is one of the Northwest's finest championship courses.
Staying nearby the Meadows Golf Course on the southern end of Sunriver not only means you will have easy access to the award-winning 18 hole course, 9-hole putting course, and driving range, but also to restaurants, boutique shops, and the beautiful Sunriver Lodge. Enjoy dramatic views of Mt. Bachelor fronted by the peaceful Sun River from Carson's Kitchen on the deck at the Lodge or head out on miles of paved pathways that meander through the quiet, tree-lined Sunriver streets and out along the Deschutes River. From go-karts in the Village to swimming at SHARC, beer tasting at Sunriver Brewing and star-gazing at the Oregon Observatory, there will indeed be endless fun just steps from your front door. Whether you need a cozy cabin for two or luxury vacation home for the whole family, the Meadows area offers something for everyone and is a favorite among long-time Sunriver vacationers.
Nestled next to Sunriver, Caldera Springs is a small, gated resort with everything you love about Sunriver and more . . . A beautiful lake setting surrounded by a rich forest of ponderosa, Caldera Springs offers access to all of the Sunriver amenities, plus also private access to the Caldera Springs - Quarry Pool (summer only), Fitness Center, Playground & Sports Courts (playground, tennis, basketball, softball, Frisbee, and soccer). Enjoy paddling and fishing the lakes, walking along the trails or gathering around the Lake House fire pit to share stories and memories.
Enjoy seclusion on the outskirts of Sunriver - if tranquility is what you seek, where you will find what you are looking for a stone's throw from the resort. Nestled in the Deschutes National Forest just south of Sunriver, this area is perfect for anyone ready to lose themselves in nature. Escape the crowds and be one step closer to world-class skiing at Mt. Bachelor, flyfishing, hiking and mountain biking. The best part is since most Sunriver amenities are open to the public, you won't miss out on the fun when you head to the resort for the day. A Bennington Staff favorite in this area? Starting a leisurely river float at the Big River Campground a few miles upstream and taking out at Harper's Bridge on the edge of Sunriver.
