We are Richard and Anne, and we are owners of  36 Fairway Village since 1986.  Our enjoyment of biking and golf influenced our choice in buying in Sunriver.  We have loved our stays here over the years.  Since we live in Honolulu, we are used to nice weather but we need a shot of  cold nights and fireplace coziness several times a year. 

When we bought, we thought we would be using our unit mostly in the ski season but as we “aged” and worried about getting up  after falling down  ( a skittish skier is bound to have accidents ) we come mostly in the spring and the fall.  What I hadn’t counted on was the cultural and outdoor activities that abound in Sunriver.  We have enjoyed the many  hikes, look-sees and divergent  experiences that the many lakes, parks , rivers and falls, that surround the high desert area , offer.  Also the High Desert Museum has ever-changing shows that are great for the whole family.

And , of course, we like to EAT!   Every year we look forward to experiencing new restaurants and  visiting the old favorites.  Some are in Sunriver and many in Bend which has become much more accessible with the bypass road .  We have branched out to explore much of the desert area and enjoy the driving  on well surfaced roads with little traffic. 

We hope you find our accommodations homey and tasteful.  I am an artist and enjoy painting in Sunriver.  I  like the( tax free) shopping  too .  My husband loves to relax and read, the library is fantastic ( we sometimes check out the whole series of recent Masterpiece Theater Programs ), as well as bike, golf and eat!
